  Job Description

  1. Participate in regional team meetings to represent Education Abroad interests and to keep the Chair Stream informed of Education Abroad activities. 
  2. Plan and execute the Education Abroad portion of the regional conference in collaboration with the Conference Chair.  This includes selection of CEP's and finding a chair.
  3. Correspond and collaborate with the Regional Representative Liaison on the Education Abroad Leadership Team on developments, programs, issues, concerns at the regional level. 
  4. Attend Regional BASAA: New England Education Abroad Community Meetings.
  5. Attend State Meetings organized by the State Representatives within Region XI.
  6. Attend and participate in the following events where financially possible
  1. the Annual NAFSA National Conference,
  2. the Region XI Annual Conference,
  3. Region XI Leadership Team meetings. 
  1. Communicate with the region XI membership regarding events, training or special sessions that may be of interest to professionals in the area of Education Abroad. 
  2. Assist the Regional Chair Stream in identifying potential candidates for the next term.
  3. Connect and provide advocacy for constituents within the K-12 and 2-Year College areas.
  4. Serve as an information source for members.
