Come join your colleagues in a one day workshop encompassing sessions on
immigration related matters.

NAFSA Region XI and its Government Regulations Advisory Committee (GRAC)
invite you to the 2008 Spring Immigration Workshop, hosted by Worcester
Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts. Workshop
information and registration forms are attached and will be available
shortly on the NAFSA Region XI website at the following address. SIW
materials will NOT be mailed out separately in paper form.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SIW 2008
- Staff of the Student and Exchange Visitor Program will present a
session focused on maintaining the I-17 with an eye toward
recertification.
- A J-1 Basics program will be offered in addition to our traditional
F-1 Basics session*
- A session offering ideas on how to make tax resources available to
your students and scholars
- An "Ideas Exchange" where colleagues can brainstorm topics and engage
in a professional dialogue regarding best practices, ask questions of
one another and network.
- And much more...
* Please note that there will be limited space available at the Basics
double-sessions and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
These sessions are truly geared towards beginners. You will have to
indicate on your registration form that you wish to enroll in one of the
Basics programs, then plan to attend both time slots in which that
program is offered. Register early to be sure you get one of the limited
seats available.
