Region XI Distinguished Service Award
Nominations for this award come from NAFSA Region XI members, and the NAFSA Region XI Leadership Team designates the recipients. Nominees must have been an active member of NAFSA Region XI for at least 5 years, and must have contributed to Region XI in a significant manner or completed a special service for the region. The official presentation of the award will be made at the regional conference in November.
The Distinguished Service Award includes a framed certificate and a monetary gift recommended at a level of $250 per recipient, with a maximum of two awards in any given year. In the event that the recipient is an employee of the federal government or can be seen to have a conflict of interest, no monetary award will be included.
All nominations must be received by July 1 of each year in either of two formats:
- Download the nomination form below (Microsoft Word). Type directly on the form, SAVE YOUR CHANGES, and email the file to pdoherty@clarku.edu
OR
- Write an email message that includes all of the information in the nomination form. Send your email message to pdoherty@clarku.edu
(If you have problems with either of these methods, please contact me directly to work something out.) Please note that a letter of support is required; your nomination will not be considered without one. Submissions must be electronic, and must be received by the deadline. Selection of recipients will be made by the NAFSA Region XI Leadership Team.
